The wall is an integrated part of the EKOMER concept. Our standard wall contains 240 or 300 mm cellulose for the best, natural insulation. The plastic folie is replaced by a heavy duty, damp spread resistant paper, as vapour barrier. The internal side of the wall structure is fitted with battens, under the t&g timber, allowing for piping and conduits to be located, without disturbing the sealed vapour barrier. We recommend that the Hasopor foundation material be used for the Ekomer wall, or at least the Supergrund slab with the seperate edge beams and the completely broken cold bridging system, for minimal heat loss through the foundation structure. The wall section illustrated above shows a plastered wall, but naturally there is also an EKOMER wall for the authentic Swedish timber cladding.  Click on the section for enlargement.
