Cellulose is a type of wood fibre. Cellulose insulation is a high density product, ie the material is compact and dense. Thanks to a density of approx. 50kg/m3 in the walls and sloping roof it prevents airflow in the insulation. As regards sound insulation the cellulose insulation has similar or better values that comparable structures using mineral wool. The cellulose fibre is a natural damp regulator. The material breathes. No damp remains in the walls. We insulate our EKOMER houses with 300mm cellulose. |
